Meghan's equipment recommendations and tips!

My favorite type of collar and one that my dogs wear all the time, is the Martingale collar. There are many tools out there for dog's. If you're not sure where to start, you can never go wrong with a martingale.

If you feel like you need a training tool, like a prong or E-collar, please speak with a professional dog trainer before purchasing! DO NOT throw one on and use it because your neighbor said it would work. There is a right and wrong way to use it. If you're looking to not use the tools for long on your dog, then speaking with a professional is the most important.

Martingale Collar

This collar comes in handy for everyday uses and training. It's great for keeping your dog from backing out of the collar, and great at releasing training pressure at the appropriate times. You want to buy the type that slip over your dog's head. You can buy these collars with basic nylon collars (pictured), printed on nylon or customize your own collar.

Slip Lead

Slip leads are my favorite leashes. This is like a collar and leash all in one. They can be used for training, great for competitions, great for road trips, great for emergency situations or catching strays, and so much more. I have more slip leads than I do dogs at home, haha!

Bitter Apple - Chewing Deterrent Spray

This is my all-time favorite spray! You can use this spray on anything, including your dog. If you have a constant chewer, or mouthy/nippy dog, this spray is for you.

Mind Stimulant toys

I'm all about making homemade dog puzzles that tire your dogs out mentally. But this toy is worth the purchase. All of my dogs, including my pig enjoys this toy.
The large Bob-A-Lot can hold close to two cups of food. The dispenser at the bottom has a slidable door that controls the amount of food that comes out. Small to med/large dog kibble works in these.

Natural Femur bones

This natural beef femur bone is long lasting; I'm talking years! They have small (pictured), or large bones. These bones have lasted years and have only been chewed on by Pitbulls in my house!
