Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

The Canine Good Citizen program, established in 1989, is an American Kennel Club program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs.

The test consists of 10-skills that will be covered/practiced in the Fused Obedience Course. Testing happens on the last day of your group lessons. I strongly recommend testing, but it's optional.

Adding an AKC title along with your Class certificate is a great accomplishment to have.

The benefits of having a CGC will deepen your bond with your dog and become a more connected team. Not only will you and your dog learn the basics of dog training and master skills like sit, down, and stay, but your dog will become a welcomed community member when out in public.

It is NOT mandatory to test! Your dog may be working through a behavioral issue, which prevents you to test! That is okay!

If this is goal of yours, I'm here to help you achieve it!
